Local teachers have recommended students to the program. IN partnership with Paterson school #5, Paterson, NJ student attendance and school grades was used as a measurement program success. It was shown that students participating in the sewing program have a greater attention capacity. Some students have shown more calm and completed their project, when teachers thought this was not possible. Students that do not seem to fit in other social groups have been recommended to the program and successfully developed interpersonal skills and confidence. Students will ADHD and attention issues have radically changed their behavior in as little as three months of class. Students with anxiety have developed a greater sense of self and anxiety issues have become more manageable.

So You Can often receive parent testimonials regarding the positive changes in their child’s personality, self-esteem, confidence as a direct result of our programs.
Evaluations of So You Can program have concluded that youth participating in the So You Can programs are typically not active in existing sports, drama or dance programs; they are often the “loners” in the school populations. The students participating in the So You Can programs become a meaningful participant in a group of like-minded individuals. It is in these programs that they develop friendships and social capacities.

Our programs have shown to develop leadership and team work. Youth who have more experience often will help another, perhaps younger student.

Several therapists are on the So You Can board of Directors and will focus on the development of assessment tools and evaluations that best enable the organization to modify and further develop appropriate curriculum.
